We, SWU Thymos’ daily board (DB), will devote ourselves to the interests of the sportive students at the Wageningen University. We are five students who cooperate intensively with the University Sports Centre De Bongerd (USB) and we keep close ties to organisations such as Student Sports Netherlands (Studenten Sport Nederland). Together with them we take care of various sports programmes and in cooperation with the many committees we organise excellent events (check out the header 'Events' for details). Do you want to know more about us or our organisation? Feel free to visit our office! The SWU Thymos room can be found in the USB, at the end of the corridor opposite the entrance.
The make-up of the DB changes every year. This year we are still in need of a second official for our sports department. If you are interested in the job, either for this year or the next, please send us an e-mail: swu.thymos@wur.nl!

The current DB:

Chairman:
The chairman develops the organisation’s policies. He or she also is the contact person for both internal as external contacts. He or she chairs meetings, takes care of the DB routines, and confers with the USB.
Current Chairman: Thomas van Gurp.

Vice-chairman / Secretary:
The vice-chairperson or secretary deliberates with the chairperson and fulfils the chairperson’s duties when he or she is absent. Furthermore the secretary takes care of the administrative duties and of the organisation of so-called ‘kaderdagen’ (days when organisations can gather information about SWU Thymos).
Current Vice-Chairman/Secretary: Sander van de Koppel.

Treasurer:
The treasurer supervises the financial side of the organisation. This person takes care of all the financial transactions concerning the organisation, such as the granting of subsidies.
Current treasurer: Marloes Miedema.

Commissioner of Publicity and Promotion: This commissioner handles SWU Thymos’ promotion, by means of posters, advertisements in the Resource and AdRem magazines, at stands and so on. In addition to this, the maintenance of the SWU Thymos website and the creation of the MOVE-magazine are also part of the official’s duties.

Commissioner of Sports: The Commissioner of Sports makes sure there is a diverse supply of sports in Wageningen. This is realised through the organisation of the many ‘along-events’ ( survival run-along, skate-along, ski-along etc), and major events, such as The Rabo Sports Night, the Run-Bike-Run, Winter Sports and the Survival Weekend.
