The University Sports Centre de Bongerd (USB) of Wageningen University has the disposal of a multifunctional sports centre with indoor and outdoor facilities. The sports program includes 31 different sports for students and co-operators of Wageningen University and Research Centre. Twenty specialised sport teachers instruct in a variety of sports such as Athletics and Swimming. Also sports like Aerobics, Aqua fit, Fitness, Squash, Tae Bo and In-line Skating belong to the sports program and for English speaking students, special hours are created. The sports centre accommodates two gymnasiums, squash courts, tennis courts, a cinder track, soccer fields, an outdoor climbing wall and a small fitness accommodation. The sports centre is open from Monday till Friday between 8.30 a.m. and 12.00 p.m. During the weekends the opening hours are from 9.00 a.m. until 18.00 p.m.
If you like to join the sports program or like to use the accommodation, you will need a valid sports card. With this sports card, you can also join the hours of recreational swimming of swimming pool De Bongerd or become a member of one of the eighteen student sport clubs. A sports card for the year 2004-2005 will cost about 50 euros. When you stay in Wageningen for only a short time (until 6 months) you will get an restitution when you leave Wageningen and show us the confirmation of Central Student Administration.
The sports card can be collected from Monday till Friday between 9.00 a.m. and 11.00 p.m. at the reception of the Bongerd. It is necessary to bring your student registration card.

Sporters op de Bongerd gebruiken voor het reserveren van faciliteiten of het inschrijven voor een cursus voortaan de laatste acht cijfers van de barcode, die op de achterkant van de WUR-kaart staat. Van deze acht cijfers vervallen de laatste twee cijfers. Begint je inlogcode met nullen dan mag je die ook overslaan. WUR-kaart nummer 01084300 voer je bij een reservering dus in als 10843 (zie foto hieronder).

For your sportscard-number, you have to look at the back-side of your WUR-card. The last 8 numbers of the bar code are important. You can skip the last 2 numbers and when your code begins with zeros, you also can skip these. So when your number is 01084300, it will become 10843.
